Ruggieri, Giuliano (1989) Gli ostracodi nell'opera di Giuseppe Seguenza. Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti Classe FF.MM.NN., 67. pp. 41-77.
On the period 1880-86 G. Seguenza published some papers dealing with marine Ostracoda Miocene-to-recent from Calabria and Sicily. The original Seguenza’s material was destroyed by the earthquake of Messina 1908. From the 153 specific or varietal taxa by him erected, the 23 new species still available because recognizable are here listed and when necessary shortly discussed. Neotypes are selected from topotypical specimens for three species, namely Krithe compressa (Sicilian, Monasterace), Paracytheridea bovettensis (Tyrrhenian, Bovetto), Pseudocytherura calcarata (Sicilian, Carrubare). In the course of the study occasion arose to erect three new species, based on specimens otherwise determined in the preceeding literature, namely Pseudocyt herura inermis (Emilian. Imola), Pseudocyiherura strangulata (Recent, Adriatic), Semicytherura bicieminei (Recent, Adriatic)
