Noting the deep absence of a valid and up to date information about Museology in Italy, we proposed to realize a simplifyng model of its real possibilities applying to the fitting of a disposal of twinnings and other mineralogical specimens, in order to display them in the show-cases of the Mineralogical Dept. of the Messina University. After a short introduction on the etymology and meaningful contents of Museology, this paper explains the actual problems of this science, that principally sums up to the research of the most functional possibilities of acting as a spontaneous and pleasant contact, between what is shown in the museum and to the visitor: either if this one belongs to those who already know the subject and hence gets from the exhibition only a spiritual achievement, or if the others visitors live amongst the wide number of laymen, to whom it’s mainly directed the modern museology, in order to carry out an improvement of the society through the continuous spiritual enrichment of knowledge, to oppose the deformation pouring forth from a social environment which is not more keeping with the balance of nature.
