Abstract
The Authors examined some 4-arylazo-isoxazole,5-ones and their methyl derivatives with the aim of studying their potential tautomerism. From NMR and IR spectra, the latter being recorded both in solid state and in solution with both polar and non polar solvents, it is possible to draw the conclusion that these substances have prevailingly the structure of 2H-,isoxazole, 5-ones.
