Abstract
From a chemical-physical and thermodynamical point of view, the possibility is examined of foreseing the equilibrium conditions of systems formed by hydrated salts and organic solvents able to dissolve water. The equililbrium is reached when the water vapour pressure of the solution, at the operation temperature, is equal to the efflorescence pressure of the hydrated salt. The results of experimental essays employing sodium pyrophosphate, potassium alum and copper sulphate as salts and ethanol, isopropanol, dioxan and nitropropane as solvents, confirm the Stheoretical previsions.
