Abstract
This work start from the idea that the slow development of the nuclear propulsive module is not only due to financial difficulties of realization of the project or to the change in space-politics, but it depends really on unresolved scientific and technological probiems. We rry to prove this point by sistematically analizing the research and development problems of the project with special regard to the reactor (called PHOEBUS-2) of nuclear propulsive unit.
