Abstract
Staphylococcal nuclease has been selectively nitrated at tyrosine residue in position 115. The nitrotyrosine chromophore has given informations on the conformation of the active centre of the enzyme in the presence and in the absence of specific inhibitors. The data collected on the modified enzyme have been compared with those obtained on a model diketopiperazine.
