Abstract
The solid complexes of $SbX_3$ (X=Cl,Br) with benzophenone, 4-chlorobenzo- phenone, 4-bromo-benzophenone, 4-amino-benzophenone have been obtained and characterized. The stability constants in dichloromethane solutions have been evaluated by means of UV-Visible spectrophotometric measurements using the method of Benesi-Hildebrand. From the infrared measurements, a type “n” bond metal-nitrogen was etablished to exist in the complexes $2SbCl_3$:4-amino-benzophenone and $SbBr_3$:4-amino-benzophenone. In all the remaining complexes the I. R. data suggest a $\pi \$ coordination metal-aromatic ring.
