A kinetic study on the catalyzed acquation of the complexes and has been carried out. The different possible experimental conditions for a spectrophotometric study were examined, i.e. the wavelength range (U.V. or visible) and the reactants’ ratio. lt was concluded that in the optimal conditions (the presence of competitive reactions was ascertained) stechiometric ratios of the two reactants are to be used and it gave advantage to work in the visible range of the spectra where they absorb only the complex reactant and the complex product, rather than in the U.V. where they absorb all the species with a consequent great inaccuracy of experimental data.
