Abstract
The crystal structure of $UCl_4.2Ph_3PO$ has been determined by X-ray diffraction techniques. Uranium is six-coordinated to four chlorine atoms and two oxygen atoms from triphenylphosphine oxide. The configuration around the metal atom is a distorted octahedron. Contrary to that suggested from spectral data (UV/visibie) the ligands are in cis position.
