Abstract
The structure of $Cs_4U(NCS)_8$ has been determined by single crystal X-ray techniques. The eight nitrogen atoms coordinated to the uranium atom are arranged at the vertices of a square antiprism.
The results are discussed in relationship to the structure of $(NEt_4)_4U(NCS)_8$ and spectral data for both compounds.
