Abstract
The spectrophotometric study of the oxidation reaction of cobalt(II) with sodium peroxide in aqueous solution in the presence of aminoacids was made, with the aim to extend previous investigations. The species with complexation ratios L/M = 2:1 for the cobalt(III)-iminodiacetic acid, 3: 1 for the cobalt(III)-glycine and 3: 1 as well as 1: 1 for the cobalt(III)L( + )alanine systems were put into evidence; the respective conditional concentration quotiens at equilibrium and molar absorptivities were calculated (T = -5°C, ionic strenght 1.2M by $NaCl0_4$ and pH about 2). The labilities of the suggsted dinuclear intermediates, which however were not identified, were discussed.
