Abstract
The voltammetric behaviour of phosphyno complexes of Platinum(II) of the type $[PtCl_2(PMe_xPh_3_-_x_)_2]$ (x = 0,1,2) has been studied at platinum electrodes in acetonitrile. The results point out the existence of ionisation equilibria involving solvent molecules, with the release of Cl— ions. The nature of the electrode processes has been studied and the effect of the substituents in the phosphine has been discussed.
