Abstract
We consider e hypoelestic isotropic medium of degree zero and we show that the governing equations, under a certain condition, are not strictly hyperbolic.
We study the propagation of the weak discontinuities connected with the system so obteined end we find that three types of waves are possible: material, longitudinal end transversal waves.
All the discontinuity waves are exceptional, so the quasi-linear system is shown to be completely exceptional.
