Abstract
In rabbits treated intravenously with <<Coramin>> (with the doses of mg 1 - 0,5 - 0,1/Kg pro die, for 5 days consecutively, and with the dose of mg 0,1/Kg every other day, for ten days) the behaviour of prothrombin rate in blood, during and after the furnishing of the drug, doesn’t present sensible variations. Exceptionally, in animals treated with the hightest doses only, some little variations are present. The Koller’s factor VII and the Howell’s time, on the contrary, undergo respectively a constant marked increase and a constant prolongation during all the time of observation (45-50 days).
On the base of these results it seems to the AA. probable that the haemorragic phenomena observed in the course of treatment with Nitrogen Mustards, could be attribute, at least in a great degree, to a deficiency of blood thromboplastin.
