Abstract
The diagnosis of Weber-Christian disease Was made by clinical and histopathologic findings in a 46-year-old woman who had recurrent nodules tending to liquefying on the thighs, trunk, gluteus and lower abdominal.
Histopathological examinatione of the lesion in the early stages showed infliltrat with inflammatory cells, mostly polymorphs, caracteristic of nodular panniculitis. Studies showed deficiencies of alpha-1-antitrypsina.
A relationship between (alpha-1-antitrypsin) and panniculitis liquefing was emphasized.
