Abstract

We present a quantum theory of ligth scattering for the analysis of the quantum statistical and fluctuation properties of light scattered or emitted by micrometric and nanometric three dimensional structures of arbitrary shape. This theory provides a general and unified basis for analysing a large class of optical processe where quantum and or thermal fluctuations play a role.
