Abstract
A case of necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum (NLD) in a 23 year old male patient is described. Diabetes mellitus (DM) was diagnosed at the age of 5 years. The onset of the first cutaneous lesion had been previously observed at the age of 9 years old. Clinical findings and histopathological features allowed the diagnosis of NLD. We considered this case really interesting because of the rare onset of NLD in children, particularly in males.
