Abstract
The cutaneous manifestations of leukemia can be distinct as specific and nonspecitìc. Lesions designated as specific are those in which the skin is involved by leukemic cells and show histologic changes compatible with leukemia cutis. The nonspecific lesions, also referred to as "leukemoid" reactions, accounts for most of the skin findings associated with leukemias. These eruptions may be due to bacterial viral and fungal infections secondary to immunosuppression; a hemorrhagic diathesis resulting in petechiae, purpura, acchymoses; or hypersensitivity reactions due to drugs or external agents such as arthropod bites or chemotherapeutic agents (1-2).
