Abstract
The care and the management of Disorders Of Consciousness (DOC) patients has raised several important ethical, social and medical issues. It is evident that a uniform ethical framework needs to guide clinicians and caregivers in terms of clinical outcome, prognosis, and medical management. It is also known that the family and caregivers are subjected to physical and emotional load due to their charitable activity. The aim of this study is to support the family members and caregivers of DOC patients through a psychological counseling. We tried to reduce their stress by organizing groups to meet and support them by giving correct information, by giving the opportunity to share experiences and helping them to find alternatives to solve their problems.
