Abstract
This study aims to support the correlation between fibromyalgic syndromes and alterations of sugar metabolism. In thirty patients of the female gender, subjected to a visit for chronic pain in the spine, it was shown that the symptomatology was not due to physical alterations of the column, such as discopathies, hernias, etc., but to inflammations in different districts of the body. In 30/30 of the subjects examined there was pain on acupressure of specific tendons and ligaments, metabolic problems, excess weight, chronic fatigue and alterations of humor. The suspicion of the association between fibromyalgia and metabolic syndromes has been demonstrated on the basis of clinical symptoms, polymyalgia, alteration of sugar metabolism, together with related anxiety, depression and chronic fatigue.
