Abstract
We discuss the concepts of entropy and order in the framework of a multiparticle correlation expansion which provides a useful and originai insight into the thermodynamic and structural properties of the liquid state.
The statistical-mechanical aspects that are specifically related to the phase transformations undergone by mono- and bi-disperse model systems are also reviewed.
