Abstract

We study submanifolds with nonvanishing parallel mean curvature vector immersed in a complex space form and compute the restricted Laplacian for the second fundamental form in the direction of the mean curvature vector under the additional condition on the second fundamental form and the -structure in the tangent bundie. As an application, we prove a theorem for a submanifold with nonpositive sectional curvature.
