Abstract

The dynamic structure factor $S(k, w)$ has been measured in $^3^6Ar$ at two densities and room temperature, for very low values of the momentum transfer $(0.3 \le k \le k 1.3 nm^-^1).$ With increasing , and decreasing density, the onset of deviations from linearized hydrodynamic theory is observable. The interpretation of $S(k, w)$ in terms of three extended hydrodynamic modes, already applied in other works to several experimental and simulation results, is shown to be valid also in the conditions of this experiment.
