    Abstract

    Recent highly accurate structure factor measurements on low density $^3^6Ar$ gas are discussed. From these data the genuine pair-potential and the threebody contribution in the linear density expansion for the Fourier transform of the direct correlation function $C(k)$ have been evaluated; an experimental test of the smali angle theory with the consequent evaluation of the van der Waals constant $C_6$ have been also carried out. Finally, the comparisons with theoretical predictions are shown and discussed.
