Abstract
In the unavoidable presence of certain amounts of "impurities", a solvent is actually a highly diluted solution. The influence of solutes on the bulk properties of a given solution depends not only on the nature and the concentration of the solute, but also on the "hierarchic level" on which the solute acts within the framework of the supermolecular system organization of the solution under consideration. Suggestions are made for investigations in solution chemistry beyond the present scope.
