Abstract

We present of randomness for $n$ lines from a Cox-process of line hitting a given circle. Then, we apply this test to the dual problem of testing the uniformity of $n$ points in a circular area by associating one line to each point of the sample. The power of the new test is investigated, for point process, by simulations including the comparison with two classical tests. The main result is that our test shows up well under an alternative consisting of a two-components point process: a cluster main component and a repulsing secondary component.
