Abstract

Daniel Deronda was written by George Eliot in the last period of her life. This novel intelligibly reflects the author‘s commitment as a writer and a woman during the Victorian era. To start with, George Eliot, being the daughter of a man who was Anglican to the bone, had consequently espoused her father‘s faith. Indeed, doubts or different ideas about Anglicanism were not sanctioned in the Evan family, where the indisputability of this foremost faith was a given fact.
