Mantichora was founded in 2011 at the University of Messina, Italy. Since 2017, the Journal has been rated as Class A by ANVUR in the fields 10/C1 (Theatre, music, cinema, television and audiovisual media), 10/F4 (Literary criticism and comparative literature), 11/C4 (Aesthetics and philosophy of languages).
