La sconfitta del linguaggio. L'impossibilità di narrare il Male: W ou le souvenir d'enfance
Abstract
The defeat of language. The impossibility of telling the Evil: W ou le souvenir d'enfance. Georges Perec's novel W ou le souvenir d'enfance is the result of the fight made by the writer to tell the Evil of his life, the blank left by the tragic loss of his parents: the novel is the final attempt, made by the word, to build his life on the white of an absence. In the W island, where the Law is unknowable, the Evil reveals his value and it assumes characteristics similar to those that existed in the death champs where Perec's mother met her death. Through this island, Perec tries to tell the Evil that scarred his life. But the language is defeated by this hand to hand, the word is stopped and Perec's writing clashes with something inaccessible.
