If there are instances where a manuscript is similar to, or matches against, one of sources, the program will flag this in order to review. Turnitin database includes billions of web pages: both current and archived content from the internet, a repository of works other have submitted to Turnitin in the past, and a collection of documents, which comprises thousands of periodicals, journals, and publications. For further information, visit Turnitin site.
The Journal Editor, before sending a manuscript to reviews, will interpreting the similarity report.
If the submitted manuscript will have an unjustified high level of similarities, the submission will be rejected and the authors will receive the relative report in order to re-submit their manuscript after their check.
