Abstract

We describe ESOPO, a Web-based environment for solving optimization problems. ESOPO represents the frame in which the software produced in the MIUR FIRB Project ``Large Scale Nonlinear Optimization" (grant n. RBNE01WBBB) is presented and made available to the community. ESOPO includes Web interfaces to allow a friendly access to the optimization codes, drivers for using the most common optimization problems modeling languages, collections of test problems for both constrained and unconstrained optimization, software and graphical tools for performance evaluation and comparison.
