Simplicial Complexes: Mathematical Innovative Instruments for Applications

Abstract


The morphisms in the categories of the simplicial complexes are able to model a lot of transformations used in graphics. We study some theoretical aspects of such combinatoric objects. Let denote the exterior algebra over a vector space . Let be a simplicial complex on the set of vertexes , we write for the ideal of generated by all monomials , . We study the vanishing and non vanishing of reduced simplicial cohomology groups of a simplicial complex and a of a certain subcomplex of when has linear resolution or when it is a lexsegment ideal.
