A Spline Collocation Method and a Special Grid of Shishkin Type for a Singularly Perturbed Problem
Abstract
We consider a singularly perturbed boundary value problem with two
small parameters. The problem is numerically treated by a
quadratic spline collocation method. The suitable choice of
collocation points and a special type Shishkin grid provide the inverse
monotonicity enabling
utilization of barrier function method in the error analysis.
Numerical results give justification of the proposed method.
