Aspetti del dibattito storiografico sulla scuola in Lombardia tra antico regime e Unità

Abstract

Il saggio ricostruisce alcuni aspetti del dibattito storiografico italiano dalla seconda metà del Novecento ad oggi riguardo alla scuola e ai processi di scolarizzazione in Lombardia tra XV e XIX secolo. La discussione si articola sulla base di alcuni temi emergenti: 1. alfabetizzazione: tra quantità e pratiche, 2. istruzione, istituzioni educative, politiche scolastiche tra Chiesa, Stato e società, 3. cultura della scuola, storia delle discipline scolastiche e cultura magistrale. Ne emerge un quadro di un vivace dibattito che restituisce un profilo articolato delle dinamiche culturali nel territorio preso in esame, interessante osservatorio del divenire di idee di scuola, di cittadino, di società civile nel rapporto con le istituzioni educative e le pratiche formative.

The essay reconstructs some issues of the Italian historiographical debate from the second half of the twentieth century to today concerning the school and the schooling processes in Lombardy between the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries. The discussion revolves around some emerging themes: 1. literacy: between quantity and practices, 2. education, educational institutions and school policies between church, state and society, 3. school culture, history of school disciplines and teacher culture. The picture that emerges is that of a lively debate that presents an articulated profile of the cultural dynamics in this territory, interesting monitoring centre of the development of ideas of school, citizen, civil society in their relationship with educational institutions and practices.
