LE NUOVE FRONTIERE NELL’EDUCAZIONE INTERCULTURALE: IL MODELLO RIACE
Abstract
Immigration often raises different problems related to different dimensions, from political to economic, from legal to social and in most cases it is seen more as a constraint than as a resource. The objective of this article is to demonstrate how, in reality, if the reception, empathic relationship and active participation systems are used, immigration can be an opportunity for revitalization and development. The integration model that, in a totally endogenous way, developed in the municipality of Riace, in the province of Reggio Calabria, has served to give rise to the repopulation of the country and in this sense houses have also been renovated, to resume work of ancient crafts and to revive the country through farming and agriculture. It is that of Riace, a model that not only makes you "touch with your hand" how in reality the coexistence between different peoples can exist, but also a model that has membership of humanity as its cardinal principle.
