PRATICHE DELIBERATIVE E QUESTIONI DI CONVIVENZA IN CONTESTI SOCIALI MULTIETNICI: ALCUNE RIFLESSIONI DA UNA RICERCA

Antonino Anastasi

Abstract

This article tries to assess, both on the normative and empirical ground, the issue of immigrants’ social and political integration in host societies. According to the evidence emerged from our research, the construction of deliberative settings for the development of public discourse on the immigration issue, can be considered as the most promising way to deal with the issues posed by intercultural dynamics in democratic societies. The evidence found suggests to take into account the normative salience of human rights, despite the fact that they can be put to a test in the context of social interaction among individuals and groups in social and political contexts.
