Abstract
The general features on resonant behaviour in heavy-ion reactions and recent results on quasi-molecular states in the $^1^2C+^1^2C$ system are reported. A new resonance at $E_c_m=32.5MeV$ has been observed in the inelastic $^1^2C+^1^2C$ scattering and it has been associated to a very deformed configuration. New experimental results on the $^1^2C+^1^2C\rightarrow^8Be_g_s+^1^6O_g_s$ reaction at $E_c_m=27.9$, 32.5 and 35.0$MeV$ show that the resonances a $E_c_m= 32.5MeV$ has a complex nature and involves also poorly deformed configurations.
