Abstract
Dentro L’Atomo is a multimedial hypertext developed in PC environment, which allows a first valid approach to the scientific questions concerning the atomic structure.
The main subject is the Rutherford atomic model and the Geiger and Marsden experiment, from the particular point of view of their relationship both with J. J. Thomson and Lord Kelvin studies and with the following theoretical approaches of N. Bohr.
By mixing different types of information (sound, animations, textes and pictures) and realizing an interactive dialogue also by means of several simulations, the program is a powerful tool to stimulate curiosity, criticism and speculation ability.
